We were in the midst of some dope vibes the night of February 8, 2011 in Tuscon,AZ. Young students and adult community members gathered at the Tuscon Unified School District building to voice their opposition to the potential banning of ethnic studies . Inside, concerned individuals sat in on the developing school board meeting. Outside, there was open mic, where emcees, dj's, musicians, and spoken word poets held it down, lending their creativity in creating a positive artistic platform for expression. We got the opportunity to rock a few songs for the enthralled crowd of youth.
